Steam locomotive Oliver Cromwell pulls the Lincolnshire Poacher into Cleethorpes from London Kings Cross. The visitors were greeted by local piper John Best, playing ‘Long Way to Tipperary’ and ‘Flower of Scotland’ amongst others.

Some more pictures have been added. A shame that the piston broke and the train was unable to complete the return trip to London. Had a quick look at Cleethorpes station in the week to see the locomotive still there.

The passengers took in a 45-minute tour of Cleethorpes and many sampled rock and fish and chips before returning via New Holland and Lincoln to London. #ageofsteam
