I am first a Meggie, then a Yellabelly. Born in 1982, I have lived in Cleethorpes on the East Coast of England all my life.
Life by the seaside is as you’d imagine, there’s none of the hustle and bustle of the city but the summer months are particularly busy, although in the depths of winter it can resemble a ghost town.
I’m all about content and utilising the latest technologies to capture, create and enhance that content, whether that be through captivating video work, engaging written pieces, eye-catching images or interactive social media campaigns.
The media industry has been my home since graduating in 2002 and I have experience in the fields of education, music, entertainment, sport and the charitable sector. I have won several awards for my written work and have had articles published in a number of publications.
I currently manage PR and communications for a large, regional Housing Association and, in a previous role, I was chair of a national fundraising and communications forum and steering group.
My hobbies are varied and include: sport (I used to follow Grimsby Town home and away and I have been a Chicago Bears fan since 1986), music (I play the guitar), writing, travelling, aviation photography, real ale/craft beer, heritage railways, local history and reading.
As a father of two daughters, my favourite thing to do is spend time with my family and all the things they enjoy too.
This blog will cover all aspects of my life, although I have also developed sites that cover some topics in more detail and those links can be found in the Portfolio section of my site.
You can carry on the conversation with me on social media by using the links in the footer of this site.
Thanks for stopping by.
